There is (was?) an Indian one… but run by hindutva (extreme right-wing) nationalists, so I think we can skip that one.
There is also one that is located in Japan, but no idea if it can be described as an instance for Japan.
Charity is not the same as mutual aid anyways, even though I have also seen “mutual aid” requests on the Fediverse that were clearly asking for charity.
Nice PR move, but when do you announce leaving the US, which is the much bigger issue right now?
I really hope they find some way to institutionalize the ideals in these protests and not fall into the trap of having it entirely co-opted by some upstart political party (although totally avoiding that approach might also be unwise).
I read somewhere else that the labour unions, especially those of teachers etc. are entirely captured by the current government? Maybe that would be a good first target to free or set up alternatives for?
Not if there is a proper sharing agreement in place before that, something similar to Airbus or so.
And as bad as a President Le Pen would be, the Front National (or what ever they call themselves these days) does not have an agenda of undermining the state and international relations, like the new Trump administration seems to have.
The French have more than enough, there just needs to be a proper agreement at EU level to share more responsibility (and costs).
Why punish children for things their parents and grandparents did?
This is not about having Estonian language classes for them, it is about putting them in classrooms for all subjects in a language they don’t speak.
And? How is that the fault of the children going to school today?
With a substantial native Russian speaking minority in Estonia and other baltic countries this is IMHO a very bad idea and will only result in resentment and kids struggling in school due to language issues.
The title already gives it away 😜
